South Korea Tourist Visa Information (As of August 2025)

Below are the general requirements for short-term tourist visits to the Republic of Korea (typically up to 30–90 days, depending on nationality). Conditions may vary by applicant. Always confirm with the nearest Korean Embassy/Consulate or the official K-ETA / Visa portals.

■ Iranian Nationals

  • Visa required (C-3 short-term visit/tourism). No K-ETA.
  • Typical documents: Passport, visa application form, photo, flight itinerary, hotel reservation, financial proof, employment/student certificate, and (if applicable) invitation/sponsor letter.
  • Apply at: Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Tehran (in-person submission; some categories may use the Visa Portal for e-form printing).

■ Bahraini Nationals

  • Visa-free for short stays (up to 30 days).
  • K-ETA required before boarding (unless age-based exemption applies).* Apply via: K-ETA official website.
  • Have: Valid passport, face photo, basic itinerary/accommodation info, and payment card for K-ETA fee.

■ Turkish Nationals

  • Visa-free for short stays (up to 90 days).

■ Other GCC Nationals (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait)

  • Generally visa-free with K-ETA required prior to travel (unless age-based exemption applies).* Apply via: K-ETA official website.

    • UAE: up to 90 days
    • Saudi Arabia: up to 30 days
    • Qatar: up to 90 days
    • Oman: up to 30 days

■ Lebanese Nationals

  • Visa required (C-3 tourism). No K-ETA.
  • Apply through the Korean Embassy in Beirut. Typical documents: Passport, application form, photo, itinerary, hotel booking, recent bank statements, and (if available) invitation/sponsor letter.

* Notes:

• K-ETA is temporarily exempt for certain nationalities (e.g., US, Canada, Japan, many EU states, etc.) until December 31, 2025; this exemption does not apply to the GCC countries listed above. Travelers aged under 17 or 65 and over are also exempt from K-ETA.
